Muharram security: Sindh seeks military help in six districts

Sindh home department in a letter written to the Ministry of Interior has called for keeping military troops standby in six districts of Sindh including Karachi to step up security on 8,9 and 10 Muharram.

In Peshawar city authorities have prepared online maps of the routes for security of Muharram processions with emergency desks near Imambargahs on routes.

In the digital map 32 procession routes have been declared as ‘extremely sensitive’ with regard to security and the graphics of the routes have been dispatched to security agencies.

Over 7000 security men will be deployed for security of the mourning processions in Peshawar. SSP Operations Peshawar has said that jammers will be installed on the routes along with aerial surveillance for security of the mourning processions.
