Multan: Anti-Corruption arrests 16 admin officers of BZU

MULTAN: Anti-Corruption Multan has arrested 16 admin officers of the Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU), who were appointed over fake documents, during the tenure of outgoing PPP-government – ARY News reports.

According to details, former VC BZU, Zafarullah Khan had appointed more than 25 people as admin officers in 2008.

These appointments were made on political basis, despite the candidates possessed fake documents.

The Anti-Corruption summoned 16 of these officials earlier today, on pretext of investigation and later arrested all of them.

The arrested admin officers include Safdar Abbas, Muhammad Imran, Rana Mannan, Muhammad Arshad, Muhammad Farooq, Imdadullah, Ali Shahzeb, Nasir Abbas, Mazhar Abbas, Rao Muhammad Azam, Majid Hussain, Amjad Khursheed, Wajahat Mangana, Malik Asif, Muhammad Nawaz and Shafqat Rehman.

The arrested accused will be presented before the court for the sake of remand.
