Munawwar claims PM Nawaz non-serious regarding peace in state

LAHORE: Ameer Jamat e Islami (JI), Syed Munawwar Hassan has said that the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is talking non-seriously and he has no interest in having peace in the country. He added that Taliban did not initiated a feud, it was Government and the military who poked them – ARY News reports.

Talking to media at Mansoora here on Saturday, Munawwar Hassan said that Taliban did not poke us first and the current Government lacks the courage to lodge an offensive against them.

Speaking about PM's interest in peace talks, he claimed that Molana Sami ul Haq gets tired of calling Nawaz Sharif again and again, but the Prime Minister does not listen to him.

He further criticized the Sharif duo, saying that the Sharif brothers like markup a lot and they want to indulge entire nation into interest usury.

The JI Ameer while declining any transparency in the PM's Youth Loan Scheme, inquired that on what merit Maryam Nawaz was made the head of the scheme.

Commenting on Privatization Scheme, Munawwar alleged that all the Government's efforts of privatization are aimed at facilitating Mian Mansha and the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has sold out national institutions to his relatives and closed ones at considerably lower rates in the past too.

He stated that privatization of institutions will bring a storm of inflation in the country and Jamat e Islami is going to kick-off an anti-privatization drive soon with the help of workers and laborers.
