TOP NEWS

LAHORE: Chief of Jamat e Islami (JI) Syed Munawwar Hassan suggested Prime Minister Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif and Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Hussain to make speed up the negotiation progress with Taliban, ARY News reported.

In a statement, Munawwar Hassan said following government announcement of releasing 13 more Taliban prisoners, now Taliban should also release Professor Ajmal and other inmates.

“Taliban’s decision for keeping children, women and elderly people in their custody for no reason may deteriorate the process”, he added.

JI’s Chief said that one can’t allege Taliban neither for denying Pakistan’s constitution nor for not being serious in peace talks.

Munawwar Hassan said Taliban’s announcement to further increase the ceasefire duration displays their willingness to make negotiations successful.
