Munawwar refers advancement in negotiations as positive gesture

SUKKUR: Ameer of Jamat e Islami (JI), Syed Munawwar Hassan has said that an advancement in Government-Taliban talks is a positive gesture and now the politicians will have to think twice prior to passing statements – ARY News reports.

Talking to media here on Thursday, Munawwar Hassan said that said that the Government and Taliban envoys will present demands of both sides and it is understood that all of the demands of a single side cannot be fulfilled.

He stated that advancement in negotiations process is a positive gesture and now the politicians will have to think twice prior to passing any statement, so that the process could not be affected.

Responding to a question, Munawwar said that Bangalis themselves wave Pakistani flags in grounds there, not the Pakistani people and the Bangladesh Government cannot last long with such trivial tactics abandoning the waving of other countries’ flags.
