Murad tells police to arrest all accused of attack on media houses

KARACHI: Chief Minister of Sindh Murad Ali Shah has instructed law enforcement agencies to arrest every accused of the attacks on media houses in Karachi, ARY News reported.

Sindh chief minister chaired a meeting on the law and order situation in Karachi. IG Sindh Police, Additional IG and other officials were present in the meeting.

Shah was briefed on the attack on media houses by the workers of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Monday evening. The chief minister instructed the law enforcers to take indiscriminate action against the people involved in the incident.

He said that police officers should behave properly with citizens and solve the problems of the complainants at police stations.

“We have taken the responsibility of improving the performance of police. The performance of each SP being monitored,” Shah said. He said he will visit police lockups to see the situation.

It should be noted that incensed MQM workers ransacked ARY News office at Madina City Mall in Karachi. The party activists broke windows, harassed employees and tried to snatch weapons from security guards who were performing their duties.
