Murad urges power utility to minimize load shedding in Karachi

KARACHI: Chief Minister of Sindh in a meeting with K-Electric management on Tuesday asked the power utility to minimize load shedding, ARY News reported.

Chairman K-Electric Waqar Siddiqui and the company’s CEO Tayyab Tareen and others called on Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah at Chief Minister’s House here today.

Shah, talking on rampant power outages in Karachi told the power utility officials that the technical issues should have been resolved before beginning of the summer.

The chief minister also urged the power company officials to ensure improved power supply in industial areas and at water pumping stations.

He also assured to extend the company any possible help for improvement of the power system.

K-Electric officials assured the chief minister that the company will minimize the power load-shedding and will manage the load in the holy month of Ramazan.

They further assured that the company was working to improve its system in the city.
