KARACHI: Former president Pervez Musharraf has said that all cases registered against him are politically motivated, ARY News reported on Tuesday.

The former military ruler Musharraf's counsel Farogh Naseem submitted a 13-page reply in Sindh High Court today, which claimed that cases against Musharraf were based on political motives and requested Musharraf’s name should be removed from the Exit Control List (ECL).

The federal government had yesterday questioned the SHC’s jurisdiction to accept a petition regarding the removal of Musharraf’s name from the ECL.

On a high court’s notice, the government had opposed allowing Musharraf to leave the country on any ground and stated that he is accused in several high profile cases.
