KARACHI: Former president Pervez Musharraf in a petition in the Sindh High Court (SHC) on Friday requested for permission to leave the country earlier, ARY News reported.

The high court in a recent decision had ordered the removal of Musharraf’s name from the Exit Control List (ECL) after 15 days granting the government time to appeal against the court decision.

Barrister Farogh Naseem appealed to the court today to allow the former president to leave the country at the earliest to visit his ailing mother.

Musharraf’s counsel said that he hopes the court will decides the matter regarding Musharraf’s early departure by tomorrow in view of the deteriorating health of his mother.
