Muslims today need a leader like Bhutto, says Aitzaz
Chaudhry Aitzaz Ahsan, speaking to a gathering at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh on the death anniversary of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, said that the Muslims need a leader like the PPP founder who could resolve the ongoing crisis in Yemen by uniting all the believers of the religion.
It should be noted that Zulfikar Ali Bhutto hosted the second Organisation of the Islamic Conference (OIC) in 1974 at Lahore in which all the heads of Muslim countries were presented. It is considered as one of Bhutto’s landmark achievements.
He also criticized Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for his state visit to Turkey, saying that, “The PM only went to Turkey and came back”.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif paid a state visit to Turkey where the two heads of state vowed to defend the territorial integrity of Saudi Arabia.
The political situation in Yemen is getting graver with every passing day as Saudi-led coalition is pounding Houthi rebels in Yemen.
