Addressing a presser in Karachi, the former city Nazim said LG elections were first held unwillingly by those at the helm of affairs. “Now local government representatives are being denied their rights and authority.”
He also called for setting up provincial finance commission so that funds could properly be distributed for development projects.
Kamal said the government was not monitoring disbursement of funds in the National Finance Commission.

Taking a jibe at MQM in an indirect reference, Kamal said decisions regarding the city are being taken by those who are sitting miles away from the country.
