Anis Qaimkhani is also a member of the MQM who used to be an important member of the Rabita Commitee before he left the country in 2013.
According to ARY News’ correspondent, Anis Qaimkhani and Mustafa Kamal are both still members of the MQM and have still not officially announced leaving the party.
According to senior analyst Dr. Shahid Masood, senior MQM parliamentarians could be seen flanked with Kamal and Qaimkhani during their press conference. He cited sources saying that they would conduct the press conference independently and on their own. According to Dr. Shahid, it is likely that Mustafa Kamal will also speak about the development of Karachi and political matters pertaining to the city.
He also said it was possible the two senior members of MQM would meet with Sindh Governor Dr. Ishratul Ebad.
