Mustafa Kamal resigns from senate
KARACHI: Senator of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Syed Mustafa Kamal has resigned from his Senate seat, ARY News reported on Sunday.
Rabitta Committee (RC) of MQM has confirmed resignation of the former city mayor Mustafa Kamal adding that the party hasn’t accepted his resignation yet.
According to sources Mustafa Kamal is out of country for some personal work.
In a statement MQM’s RC has denied any news of having differences between Mustafa Kamal and his party.
“The real truth is that former city nazim has been facing some personal issues due to which he is residing abroad and he had notified the party about his departure before moving abroad”, statement revealed.
“Mustafa Kamal has submitted his resignation in previous November month, however the party hasn’t approved it yet”, the statement said.
“Everyone is aware about the services rendered by the former Karachi Nazim, who served diligently during his tenure and the party has always lauded his services,” The statement said.
