According to details, fire erupted in bushes behind Aziz Bhatti Park police station which engulfed vehicles seized by police.
As the word spread, several fire tenders arrived at the site and extinguished the fire after four hours of rigorous efforts.
The blaze burnt over 150 vehicles and dozens of shanties to ashes. The vehicles were taken into custody at different times and were parked at the spot under police supervision.
Whether the burnt vehicles were abandoned or cases pertaining to them were still running, but the question rises whether such horrific blaze erupted accidentally or was it deliberate attempt.
