ISLAMABAD: Special committee of the Parliament to investigate the charges framed by MNA Jamshed Dasti has summoned the Director of the Parliament Lodges on March 11, whilst the CCTV footage of the lodges will also be presented during the meeting – ARY News reports.
Speaker of the National Assembly, Ayaz Sadiq had formed a special committee headed by Sheikh Rohail Asgher to investigate the allegations framed by MNA Jamshed Dasti regarding some members to be involved in drinking and immoral activities inside the Parliament Lodges.
The committee has summoned the Director of the Parliament Lodges and the Supervisor in its meeting on March 11 and also directed the authorities to present the CCTV footage of the lodges.
Earlier to this, Jamshed Dasti had declined to appear before the committee and had demanded to form an independent group of members instead.
During the session of National Assembly, Speaker Ayaz Sadiq had asked Dasti to present his stance in written, rather than verbally alleging the parliamentarians.
