NAB arrest PPP leader Qasim Zia under fraud charges

LAHORE: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Punjab has arrested Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Qasim Zia for millions of rupees alleged fraud, ARY News reported on Saturday.

Former president of PPP Punjab Qasim Zia was arrested last night from his residence over charges of millions of rupees fraud committed by his company Ali Usman Securities, NAB Punjab officials said.

The NAB officials produced the arrested PPP leader before an accountability court and got 14 days physical remand for investigation.

Qasim Zia, a former hockey Olympian, also remained the president of Pakistan Hockey Federation and the leader of opposition in Punjab Assembly.
