NAB dismisses corruption charges against Sethi
LAHORE: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has scraped a complaint against Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Najam Sethi seeking initiation of a corruption case against him.
The NAB Lahore dismissed the complaint against Sethi for being NFA (Not Fit for Action) after it didn’t find any compelling evidence to proceed with the matter.
Former Test fast bowler Sarfraz Nawaz had levelled the allegations against the PCB chief.
The PCB has already initiated legal proceedings against Nawaz and warned both print and electronic media not to give space to the former Test fast bowler.
It is pertinent to mention here that Sethi had also filed a defamation suit in a Lahore court against him for levelling false and baseless charges against him, tarnishing his image and popularity.
He requested the court to order the accused to pay damages worth Rs100 million.
