NAB decides not to arrest politicians till July 25 polls

ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Wednesday announced to hold action against politicians participating in general elections until July 25, ARY News reported.

According to a statement issued by the anti-graft authority after a meeting chaired by chief Javed Iqbal, NAB has decided to hold action against politicians facing inquiries till the election day.

The accountability bureau put on hold cases against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders Khawaja Asif, Rana Afzal, Rana Mashhood and Rai Mansab for they are participating in polls.

The NAB meeting also approved initiation of inquiries against former director general Punjab Land Development Company Ahad Cheema, CEO Bismillah Engineering Shahid Shafiq and some Khyber Pakhtunkhwa bureaucrats for alleged corruption in the Billion Tree Tsunami project.
