LAHORE: The Lahore chapter of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Thursday sought details of properties owned by Hussain and Hasan Nawaz, two sons of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

According to sources, NAB Lahore has sought the property details of former prime minister’s two sons, dispatching a letter to Director General of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA).

The LDA has also been directed to trace the properties owned by the brothers after providing their Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) numbers in the written letter.

One more letter has been dispatched to the Excise and Taxation Department seeking details of all movable and immovable assets in their possession.

It merits highlighting here that the accountability court is currently hearing three corruption references against the Sharif family members.

Both brothers have been declared proclaimed offenders for their perpetual absence in the court proceedings whereas former PM Sharif, has been indicted in three corruption references, while Maryam Nawaz and her spouse Capt (retd) Muhammad Safdar have been indicted in single graft reference filed against them by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in compliance to July 28 verdict of the Supreme Court in Panama Papers case.
