ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has summoned Salman Shehbaz and Hamza Shehbaz in the case pertaining to possession of assets beyond known sources of income, ARY News reported.

According to the details, a NAB team will grill the two sons of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif in the said case on Friday.

Earlier in the day, the Lahore High Court (LHC) had issued notice to the NAB after granting protective bail to the opposition leader in Punjab Assembly, Hamza Shehbaz Sharif, until November 13.

The PML-N leader is facing investigation by the anti-graft watchdog in Ramzan Sugar Mills and Saaf Pani Scam. “NAB has failed to prove charges of financial irregularities in what he thinks are politically motivated cases against him.”, Hamza Shehbaz stated to LHC bench in his bail plea.

On October 30, Hamza Shehbaz Sharif and his brother, Salman Shehbaz had not appeared before the NAB in Ramzan Sugar Mills case.

As per details, NAB had summoned Hamza and Salman, the directors of Ramzan Sugar Mills over illegal construction of a bridge from national exchequer to facilitate their mills, causing the loss of Rs 200 million.

The NAB team kept waiting for them, but the two brothers did not appear before it. Hamza Shehbaz Sharif preferred to attend a party meeting instead of appearing before the NAB, whereas his brother Salman Shehbaz left the country on the same very day.
