NAB summons REDAP chairman in fraud case

LAHORE: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore has summoned Resolvers and Executors of Dimensional Affairs in Pakistan (REDAP) Chairman Muhammad Rehan Azhar in a fraud case, ARY News reported.

According to sources the NAB has directed REDAP chairman Rehan Azhar to appear before the NAB to record his statement in the case. He was asked to provide complete record about his business.

Meanwhile, the NAB, via an advertisement published in various news papers today, has sought claims from the affectees of REDAP so as they could get back their looted money.

Sources said that REDAP had been looting business community in the name of resolving their economic issues. They offered traders to resolve all their problems and fix all issues in an efficient and timely manner.

Earlier on July 23, an accountability court had granted 14-day physical remand of real estate tycoon and Ali Associates Managing Director Sheikh Shahid Jamal in a case pertaining to Rs7.71 billion fraud.

The corruption watchdog had arrested the accused last night on a complaint against the owners of a housing scheme in Multan. A NAB team produced him before the court to obtain his remand.

Meanwhile, a team of the bureau had raided Jamal’s residence to look for evidence in connection with the fraud.
