PESHAWAR: A terrorist, who attempted in vain to blow up Siphon Chowk in Peshawar, has confessed to being trained on suicide bombing, ARY News reported Thursday.
Police had foiled the attempt of the terrorist Shoaib Akhtar, to bomb Siphon Chowk. He was planting an 8-kg bomb at the Chowk when he was spotted by police. The nabbed terrorist made some shocking revelations during the interrogation.
He said he belonged to a terrorist outfit in Khyber Agency. He disclosed that he was being trained on suicide bombing. Akhtar told that it was first attempt to plant a bomb, but in vain.
I was given Rs 1000 to plant a bomb at Siphon Chowk, he added.
