Najam Sethi announces to continue as PCB chairman for maximum 8 months

KARACHI: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman, Najam Sethi has announced that he is not going to hold the PCB summit any more than 8 months – ARY News reports.

The statement was given while talking to the anchorperson Waseem Badami, during an exclusive interview at ARY News.

Najam Sethi told that earlier he had decided to step down from his post, however he refrained from doing so, yet he is not going to be the PCB Chairman any longer than 8 months.

Returning to a question about former PCB Chief Zaka Ashraf, he claimed that Ashraf designed the constitution of PCB under mid-night's darkness, now the new code shall be formed by a group of 3 judges of the Supreme Court of Pakistan.

Commenting on town's talk, Big-3 notion, Sethi told that the Zaka needed not to meet the Prime Minister on the issue, adding further that PM Nawaz had nothing to do with PCB's stance on Big-3.

Sethi while responding to '35 punctures', the hot debate in media now a day, claimed that, "if the PTI Chief, Imran Khan brings evidence in support of his allegations, I shall commit a suicide right there and then".

Moreover, the current PCB Chief expressed his desire to have people like Basit Ali in his squad for improving Pakistan cricket.
