KARACHI: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Karachi has directed authorities to unblock Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs) of three accused in Naqeebullah Mehsud extrajudicial murder case, ARY News reported on Thursday.

The accused persons include Faisal and Khair Muhammad had been declared proclaimed offenders and their national identity cards were also blocked over the court orders.

The court conducted the hearing of the pleas submitted by the accused persons for unblocking their CNICs.

Defence lawyer, in his arguments, pleaded that the accused persons have appeared before the court, hence their CNICs should be unblocked now.

The hearing was attended by Investigation Officer Dr Rizwan while witnesses including judicial magistrate Mehar Saghar, Inspector Shakir and Muhammad Khan were also present there.
