Nation rejects suspension of ARY News

KARACHI: The people from all spheres of life have rejected the decision made by Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) to suspend the license of ARY News for 15 days and have expressed solidarity with the news channel, ARY News reports.

Political, journalist and trade groups protested against PEMRA whereas the closure of ARY News was protested in the press clubs of Sargodha, Mian Channu and Sarai Alamgir.

Electronic Media Reporters Association announced protest demonstration against the ban on ARY News.

Journalist bodies and viewers of the news channel in Hyderabad and Sukkur condemned the suspension on ARY News and said that the channel is being punished for telling the truth.

Social, journalists, traders and political groups in Sanghar, Ghotki and Jacobabad protested against the decision of PEMRA to block ARY News and condemned the closure with strong words.

Tehreek-e-Sooba-e-Hazara denounced the decision made by PEMRA to suspend the license of ARY News for 15 days.

Civil societies and journalists carried out a demonstration against the suspension of ARY News in which people from different walks of life were present.
