Nation stands shoulder to shoulder with PM Imran, Army: Fawad Chaudhry

JHELUM: Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry on Sunday said that the nation stood shoulder to shoulder with Prime Minister Imran Khan and the armed forces.

Addressing a public meeting in Jhelum, Fawad Chaudhry said, “Pakistan is a peace loving country and it has always condemned terrorism even if it happens in India.” He said that they would not allow India or anyone else to cast an evil eye on Pakistan.

The minister said that PM Imran Khan, just after taking oath of his office, had invited India to take one step towards peace and Pakistan would take tow in that direction. He said Pakistan was still standing by the offer made by Imran. The minister termed Indian claims about surgical strike day dreaming.

 

Talking about ongoing accountability process in the country, Fawad Chaudhry said that the government would not compromise on accountability process.

He said that the masses had given Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) a mandate to held the plunderers of national wealth and the corrupt accountable.

The minister said that PTI had no enmity with any party and added that an indiscriminate and across the board accountability process was being carried out in the country.

Talking about Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Fawad Chaudhry said that politics should be done on public issues but not on the health of a particular person.

He said that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Syed Khurshid Ahmed Shah was not concerned about Nawaz Sharif’s jail term but he was worried about his own expected imprisonment.
