National security meet agrees to continue Taliban talks

ISLAMABAD: The National Security Committee on Thursday agreed to continue the peace dialogue with Taliban, ARY News reported.

A meeting of the cabinet's National Security Committee was held today with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in chair. The meeting was also attended by the military leadership.

The committee expressed satisfaction over the steps taken for the law and order in the country. The meeting agreed to continue the talks with Taliban, however, it was observed that all options will remain open for maintenance of peace in the country.  

Prime MInister Nawaz Sharif speaking in the meeting said this crucial forum extends help in the decision making.

Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali, Minister of Finance Ishaq Dar and Director General Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) briefed the meeting.
