Nationalists protest against IDP’s arrival in Sindh

KARACHI: Shutter down strike observed in scores of cities and towns in the interior of Sindh on Tuesday to register protest against arrival of the displaced persons of North Waziristan in the province, ARY News reports.

The strike being observed on the call of Sindh Bachayo Committee, a coalition of Sindhi nationalist groups.

Shutter down strike observed across Larkana district and all business centres and petrol pumps remain closed, while scarce traffic seen at roads.

A protest sit-in staged at Indus Highway near Shaikh Zayed More in Larkana causing suspension of vehicular traffic at the road.The workers of Jiye Sindh Qaumi Muhaz (JSQM), Sindh United Party (SUP) and other nationalist groups participated in the sit-in led by Dr. Mumtaz Shaikh, Mazhar Mughal and other leaders.

In Naushehro Feroz district all shops and businesses were closed in Moro, Kandiaro, Tharo Shah, Bhiria, Padidan, Mehrabpur and Naushehro Feroz.

Complete shutter down observed in Dadu and Tando Muhammad Khan and nationalist workers held demonstration to protest against arrival of the Waziristan IDPs in Sindh.
