NATO supply will be blocked on Nov. 20, vows Jahangir Tareen

LAHORE: Jahangir Tareen, Secretary General of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has said that the NATO supply would be blocked on 20th November – ARY News reports.Speaking to the media here at the tomb of Allama Iqbal on Saturday, Jahangir Tareen said that the holding negotiations with TTP was a mutual decision of all the political parties of Pakistan. Drone Strike, that killed Hakimullah Mehsud, was a huge setback to the peace process, he added.

He said that a core committee meeting of PTI would be held on Sunday in which negotiation process with the new leadership of TTP and other issues would be discussed. Tareen further added that the power of the nation would be utilized if any obstacles are made in this regard.

Jahangir Tareen, while answering a question, stated that it was the personal view of Syed Munawar Hassan, Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), to call Hakimullah Mehsud, former TTP

 chieftain, a martyr. He added that PTI does not agree with the statement.Speaking on the Local Body (LB) Elections, he said that contacts with the people are being made on grass-root level, while seat adjustment would be done with the coalition parties but not only the election symbol would be of PTI but the District Administrator would be of PTI as well.
