ISLAMABAD: Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly for Railways Naveed Qamar has said that it is a good omen that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is attending the swearing in ceremony of upcoming India's Premier Narendra Modi, ARY News reports.
Naveed Qamar chaired a meeting of the Standing Committee of NA for Railways today. In the meeting, he said that the issue of railway board's re-organization will be discussed in the Parliament.
"We are giving the new Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique a chance. The railways sector will improve when the nation is satisfied", he said.
Qamar further said that the government is allocating more funds to the railways in the upcoming budget. He also said that all those governments are responsible for the downfall of the sector who did not invest.
