Imran Khan was conducting a press conference in response to the Prime Minister’s address to the nation yesterday. The PTI chairman rejected the terms of reference of the commission and called for a commission that was acceptable to all political parties of Pakistan.

“I reject the terms of reference of the judicial commission. If Nawaz Sharif does not form a judicial commission acceptable to all opposition parties in Pakistan, I will announce my plan to take to the streets tomorrow,” said Imran.

According to Imran, PM Nawaz failed to answer valid questions in his address yesterday. ” First, the Prime Minister should be held accountable then we will talk about accountability for others,” said Imran.

“I was disappointed with Nawaz Sharif’s address to the nation yesterday,” said the PTI chairman. “I had thought finally, Nawaz would present facts before the nation but instead he chose to attack us.”

Imran Khan also said during his address that this crime was a punishable offence which would have resulted in jail time, had this been America.

“The names of eight heads of states were mentioned in the Panama papers,” said Imran. “People in the United States of America go to jail if they are found guilty for tax fraud.”

Imran Khan also slammed the Prime Minister for attacking him during his address and said that the PM should rather focus on issuing his own clarifications.

“Every other leader from the western country who’s name had been mentioned in Panama leaks did not blame the opposition in return and claimed that they were also corrupt,” he said. “Over here, all Mian sahab says in response is that there is financial embezzlement going on in Shaukat Khanum or that Khursheed Shah is a thief.”

Imran also said that PTI was carrying out its role as an opposition party and was doing exactly what the people of Pakistan had expected the party to do when they had elected them.
