Nawaz, Maryam leave for London
LAHORE: Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif along with his daughter Maryam Nawaz on Wednesday left for London to see his wife Begum Kulsoom who is undergoing treatment for throat cancer.
The former premier and his daughter boarded a flight bound for London at Lahore airport.
A day earlier, the Sharif family in a statement said that the PML-N supreme leader along with Maryam is leaving for the British capital to see his wife who has been admitted to a hospital because of her serious condition.
In a tweet on his official twitter account, Maryam said: “My mother is hospitalised again. Remember her in your prayers. I know prayers can do wonders. Allah answers prayers.”

Begum Kulsoom has been undergoing treatment for lymphoma (throat cancer) in London for quite some time. She had also undergone a surgery in this regard, which was declared successful by her family members.
