Nawaz has again refused to go to hospital: Shehbaz Sharif
LAHORE: Opposition leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif on Friday met his brother and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif at the Kot Lakhpat Jail, ARY News reported.
Speaking to media after the meeting, Shehbaz Sharif said Nawaz Sharif was suffering from angina for last few days. “The doctors have once again suggested Mian sahib immediate treatment for the ailment,” he added.
The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz president said Nawaz had, however, refused to go to hospital.
“Nawaz Sharif is of the view that he was previously taken to hospital, but his treatment was not done,” Shehbaz stated.
The younger Sharif cited Nawaz as saying that he was moved to hospital where only he had undergone check-up.
Earlier in the day, Former foreign minister Khawaja Asif and Sharif’s personal doctor Adnan also visited jailed PML-N leader along with the medicines needed for medical treatment of Nawaz Sharif.
Sharif’s personal doctor said that the ailing leader needs immediate treatment for cardiac disease.
The Leader of Opposition also informed his brother about the ‘non-cooperation’ of the government.
The opposition leader in a statement earlier slammed the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government, saying that government ministers can go abroad despite their names being in the Exit Control List (ECL) but his elder brother Nawaz Sharif who made the country a nuclear power is not allowed to be taken to a medical facility.
