Nawaz Sharif arrives in Delhi for Modi's swearing-in

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif arrived here in New Delhi on Monday (today) to attend the oath taking ceremony of India's upcoming Prime Minister Narendra Modi, ARY News reports.

Prime Minister's advisor for National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz, Tariq Fatimi, Javed Aslam and Hussain Nawaz have also been accompanied with the Prime Minister. 

PM Nawaz Sharif will stay at Hyderabad House of the Indian capital during his Indian visit.

Earlier, Narendra Modi had invited all the Prime Ministers of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) to attend the ceremony. 

Nawaz Sharif had accepted the invitation of the upcoming Indian Premier. 

Narendra Modi of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won the elections in India with a landslide margin. 

The Pakistani Premier is expected to meet the new Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Pranabh Mukherjee. 

Large pictures of Modi has been placed across New Delhi on the occasion. Strict security measures have been taken for the ceremony. 

The people of India are hopeful that their next leader will take the country out of the economic crises.
