Nawaz’s ideology is corruption, says Imran Khan
HAFIZABAD: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Friday said ousted prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s ideology was corruption.
“Nawaz Sharif says he is an ideology, his ideology is corruption,” he said while addressing a gigantic crown in Hafizabad.
Addressing a rally few days ago in Abbotabad, Nawaz said that he was an ideology within himself which would bring a revolution in Pakistan.
Imran said once Pakistan was developmentally thriving the fastest in the region, however corruption had plagued all its progress.
He said accumulating money while in power was tantamount to corruption. Nawaz had one factory prior to embarking upon political career which had multiplied up to 30 factories now, he said.
“It is very unfortunate that people like Nawaz and former president Asif Zardari came into power. When a prime minister does corruption, it has trickle down effect and makes the entire system corrupt,” he said.
The PTI chief said Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif was drawing Rs1.6 million monthly salary from Dubai despite holding portfolio of foreign affairs.
He vowed to bring more facts against Asif within next week.
Imran also said Finance Minister Ishaq Dar knew all about Nawaz’s corruption, therefore the Pakistan Muslim League-N president could not stop him from corruption.
He said Nawaz would never remove Dar from ministry and Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi did not have this much courage.
The cricketer-turned-politician also lambasted Jang Group and its owner for being accomplice in Nawaz’s corruption.
