ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif has ordered the release of 151 captured Indian prisoners on Sunday (today), ARY News reported.
Nawaz Sharif has ordered that 151 arrested Indian fishermen should be handed over to Indian authorities along with their ships as per the instructions.
The captured fishermen will be handed over to India on the morning of 26th May at Wagah Border whereas Indian authorities are being contacted for the return of 57 captured boats.
The decision of returning the ships was taken last year.
It should be noted that Pakistan is releasing the Indian prisoners as a goodwill gesture by Pakistan.
According to data, there are 531 prisoners in Indian jails out of which 168 are fishermen.
