ISPR, in a press release, had said that key state buildings in Red Zone area are a symbol of the state, not the government, and are protected by the military and they should be respected. The ISPR press release also said that the situation requires patience, wisdom and sagacity from all stakeholders and urged them to resolve all issues through meaningful dialogue in larger national and public interest.
Rehman Malik said that Prime Minister has to take immediate steps to defuse the political tension in the country. He also said that government and democracy should remain separated.
“Let us hope that the situation does not head towards Kakar Formula”, Malik said
He said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should get himself out of the mess by keeping the constitution in front of him. He feared that collision might occur if the government does not get out of the political crises.
“Both country and democracy will be harmed if a collision takes place”, Malik said.
He urged Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan to understand the situation after ISPR gave the statement. He added that Sharif should consult with good and capable advisors.
