LAHORE: Hamza Shahbaz, son of Shahbaz Sharif, has said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif wants to promote the peace process with Taliban with sincerity and has extended his patronage to the negotiation process, ARY News reports.
Speaking at a seminar at Naeemia University here in Lahore on Saturday, Hamza Shahbaz said that the federal government will expand the consultative process with Taliban militants. He added that terrorism and negotiations cannot go together.
"Prime Minister initiated the peace process with clear intentions and is patronizing it himself", Hamza Shahbaz said.
He claimed that the federal government will provide laptop computers for the students of the seminaries so as they can acquire latest education.
The National Assembly member, while commenting on the unrest in Karachi, said that the nation is tired of the bloodshed. "The government will do everything it can for bringing peace in the country", he added.
