Nawaz vows to end crimes in Karachi
KARACHI: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that the operation against criminals will be continued in Karachi till the end of crimes, ARY News reported on Friday.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif who has been on a daylong visit of Pakistan's largest city, was addressing a gathering of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) here.
Nawaz Sharif said that the government has to do more for the city.
Nawaz Sharif vowed to improve the situation in Karachi and said this was a main focus of the government.
He said that industry and the economy could not flourish due to shortage of electricity, adding the government wanted to bring all institutions on the right track.
He said that 1400 to 1600MW electricity would be added in the national grid within few days.
The prime minister also chaired a high-level meeting on law and order at Governor House in Karachi.
Director General Sindh Rangers submitted his report on targeted operation in Karachi to the prime minister.
