Nepra to hear K-Electric's application for increase in FAC

ISLAMABAD: National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) will start hearing of two K-Electric’s application seeking permission to increase Fuel Adjustment Charges (FAC) and to shut down three power generation units tomorrow, ARY News reported.

In the filed application K-Electric has demanded to increase Fuel Adjustment Charges (FAC) for the months of November and December 2013, and January, February and March 2014.

According to Nepra's public notice, the power utility has demeaned increase of 48.513 paisa per unit as FAC for the month of November 2013 and 4.081 paisa per unit for December 2013. 

It has demanded a raise of Rs 1.39 per unit for the month of January, 31.701 paisa for February and 93.662 paisa per unit for March 2014.

Nepra has invited all stakeholders to raise their written and oral comments or objections as permissible under the law at the public hearing.
