He thanked the Army Chief, Pakistan Army and the government for their effort and hard work in holding the Peace Cup, which would assist in a positive image of the country.

“The message has gone out to the world that we can host cricket in any part of Pakistan and we are a peaceful country” he said.

Inzamam said that there is a lot of talent in FATA which can emerge as the next hub of cricket but lack facilities. He said that players such as Usman Shinwari were already playing for Pakistan.

Pakistan XI won the goodwill match against UK Media XI by 133 runs at Younus Khan Stadium in Miranshah.
