DELHI/MUMBAI: Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma got married in Italy last week, ending months of frenzied speculation that they were getting hitched. The couple, however, still dominates the news – now for their post-wedding happening.
Soon after their pictures of tying the knot trended worldwide, now another debate has begun amid speculations where the couple would live? And some pictures have emerged showing the dream apartment in Mumbai.
Like every other conjecture, there is perhaps one question everyone has been thinking – will Virat move to Mumbai or will Anushka move to Delhi. According to reports, it is mostly certain that Virat Kohli is moving to Mumbai to be with his lady love. The couple would be moving to a luxury home that Virat and Anushka bought in 2016 for Rs 340 million reports the Business Today.
According to the report, the couple bought the luxury pad from a prominent developer. The 7,171-sq ft apartment is for Rs 34 crore and is sea-facing. The apartment is located in tower C – the most luxurious of the three towers in the project.
Earlier both had shared on their social media accounts: “Today we have promised each other to be bound in love forever. We are truly blessed to share the news with you,” the celebrity couple said, adding that it had been a “beautiful day”.
A statement sent to journalists said the wedding had been attended by close family and a few friends as “they wished their wedding to be a very private affair”.
The ceremony was performed according to Hindu rituals, it added.
Kohli and Sharma, both 29, posted different photos of themselves smiling together and dressed in colourful Indian wedding garb on their Twitter feeds late on Monday.
The pastel pink outfits were created by acclaimed Indian fashion designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee.
The statement added that the couple will host a reception in New Delhi for relatives on December 21, followed by a celebration in Mumbai on December 26 to be attended by Bollywood stars and cricketers.
