RAWALPINDI: Commemorating the supreme sacrifices rendered by Pakistan Army personnel during 2017, Director General (DG) Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor in his New Year message said the celebrations across the country are indicative of the achievements and resolve as a nation.

In a tweet, he said the country owed the achievements to the martyrs who gave their blood and lives for the nation.

“Remembering and thanking our ‘Ghazis & Shuhada’ for their noble sacrifices,” he further said on his official twitter account moments before the date changed and celebrations began to welcome 2018.

“The jubilations and celebrations we see across the country tonight are indicative of our achievements and resolve as a nation [against menace of terrorism]. We owe it to them who gave their blood and lives for us. Remembering and thanking our ‘Ghazis & Shuhada’ for their noble sacrifices,” Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor tweeted.
