Nine injured in Charsadda bomb blast

CHARSADDA: In a remote-controlled bomb blast in Shabqadar area of Charsadda at least nine people, including three police men were injured on Monday, ARY News reported.

The terrorists detonated an improvised explosive device (IED) in Mian Kalay area of Shabqadar targeting a police van.

The remote controlled bomb device was planted along the road, which was detonated when a police van patrolling in the area passed through the spot leaving nine people injured, a police official said. A private vehicle was also damaged in the incident.

The injured were transferred to hospital for medical attendance. Four injured of the blast have been in a precarious condition, hospital sources said.

Security agencies have cordoned off the area after the incident.
