ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has said that Islamabad Police and Rangers will jointly patrol in the federal capital from tomorrow – ARY News reports.
Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan chaired a high-level meeting here on Monday, during which the law and order situation was reviewed. The meeting decided that the Islamabad Police and Rangers will jointly patrol in the federal capital and for this purpose 13 different zones in Islamabad were formed.
Rangers have been given powers for the prevention of crimes, while a joint control room of Islamabad Police and Rangers has also been formed.
According to the Interior Minister, further arrangements were made for making the security of the Red-Zone effective.
He also directed the heads of different security agencies at the meeting, to present a report pertaining to the security of Islamabad in 3 days.
