Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and the Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif held an important meeting with the Army Chief, General Raheel Sharif in the evening on Wednesday. Both the leaders held a detailed exchange of views with the Army Chief, on the current scenario of the state.
Later, the Interior Minister and Shahbaz Sharif reached the PM House and met the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
Sources told that a major breakthrough in the political situation of the country is expected tonight. The verdict of the Lahore High Court (LHC) on the long march and the meeting with the Army Chief is significant enough, in this regard.
ARY News Islamabad bureau chief, Sabir Shakir said that numerous things pertaining to a breakthrough in the political situation and reconciliation with forces agitating against government, will be cleared tonight.
He said a meeting between the Army Chief and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is also expected at the Independence Day ceremony tonight, after which many things will be cleared.
