TOP NEWS

Chaudhry Nisar, addressing a joint session of the Parliament in Islamabad on Tuesday (today), said that some people are fooling the nation by giving references of western democracy.

He added that the protesters in Red Zone area are claiming to change the history of the country. He also said that the nation is standing at one side while the protesters are at the other.

“Parliament is the voice of the nation”, he said.

Nisar added that PTI Chairman Imran Khan took a 360 degree turn in the past three months.

He added that PTI and PAT led protesters stormed the state buildings. A mob broke into the building of Pakistan Television (PTV) and broke CCTV cameras yesterday, Nisar said.

“They broke cameras and manhandled a lady worker of PTV”, Nisar claimed.

He also alleged that PAT and PTI protesters are trained terrorists equipped with batons and axes.

Chaudhry Nisar, commenting on the claims of PTI President Makhdoom Javed Hashmi regarding the role of Pakistan Army in the political scenario of the country, said that it is a crime to involve the military in the political affairs of the state.

He also condemned the attack on journalists during police clashes with PAT and PTI activists at Constitution Avenue in the federal capital.

“Media is the soul of democracy”, Nisar said. He offered an unconditional apology to the media over the incident. He said an inquiry has been ordered into the incident and the culprits will be punished.

He also paid tribute to Pakistan Army, Police, Rangers and Frontier Corps (FC) over their sacrifices.
