WAH CANTT: The Federal Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has said that Pakistan Ordinance Factory is a modernized institution, compatible of modern requirements and capable of manufacturing state of the art weapons and defence equipment – ARY News reports.
According to details, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan together with the Minister of Defence Production, Rana Tanveer Hussain and other higher officials of the police and security agencies, visited the Pakistan Ordinance Factory (POF).
On this occasion, he urged the civil armed forces of Pakistan to arm their personnel, benefitting with capabilities of this national institution.
The Chairman of the POF Board, Lieutenant General Muhammad Ahsan Mehmood welcomed the Interior Minister upon his arrival here.
Lt Gen Ahsan Mehmood briefed the delegation that the basic mandate of the POF is to provide arms and ammunition to the armed forces of Pakistan.
He further told that POF after fulfilling hundred percent needs of its armed forces, exports its spare production to 30 different countries of the world.
