No compromise will be made on national interest: Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday said that no compromise will be made on the national interest of Pakistan.

The prime minister expressed these views while chairing a meeting at the foreign office here during his maiden visit of the ministry today.

Khan talking to the foreign ministry officials stressed for improvement in the performance of Pakistan’s missions abroad.

He directed for creating positive image of the country.

During an hour-long session Prime Minister Imran Khan was briefed about Pakistan’s relations with other countries including the ties with India and the situation in Indian held Kashmir.

According to sources, the prime minister was also briefed about the state of bilateral ties with United States, China, Iran and Afghanistan.

Khan gave policy guidelines of his government to the foreign ministry officials.

Earlier on his arrival at the Foreign Office, the prime minister was received by Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Secretary of Foreign Affairs Tehmina Janjua.

Foreign Minister Qureshi will brief the media about the foreign policy guidelines of the government in a briefing this evening.
