No injuries as terrorists target Karachi schools

According to details, the saboteurs, on a motorcycle threw explosives outside the schools due to which loud explosions took place.

No casualties took place as the schools were closed during the time of the blast. The parents have started to take their children home after the explosion.

Heavy contingents of law enforcement agencies arrived at the scene after the explosion.

Director General (DG) Rangers Major General Bilal Akbar paid a visit to the schools and reviewed security of the both educational centres.

It should be noted that Taliban gunmen stormed Peshawar’s Army Public School on 16th Dec, 2014 killing 150 people including 135 children and nine staff members.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had lifted the ban on death sentences after the Peshawar tragedy.

The hand grenade attacks are posing a question mark on the security arrangements of schools in the country.

Sindh Education Minister Nisar Khuhro has taken notice of the incident and summoned a report of the cracker attack from Additional Inspector General Ghulam Qadir Thebo.
